There is a significant update from Meta/Facebook starting April 22, 2024. They have announced plans to remove the Groups API, a tool that enables third-party publishers to directly publish posts to users’ Facebook Groups. This change affects all third-party Facebook apps and is scheduled to take effect in late April. We expect this to impact heavy users of Facebook Groups (particularly those doing a lot of virtual parties) and some analytics data points, most notably post counts. Note, this does not affect personal profiles or business pages, or any other feature within Facebook.

Our CEO, Scott Kramer, in partnership with Samantha Hind with Auxano Global, has published a collaborative overview addressing the concerns mounting about the impact on scheduling, automation, and community engagement strategies on the platform.
