Social media users, creators, and planners everywhere are cheering after Facebook’s newest feature for Creator Studio app.
If you open the app, this notification should pop up on your screen:
Yep, you read that right. You can now schedule your Instagram posts directly through a platform-operated app. For a while now, Instagram scheduling has been a growing desire for content creators, however, they have had to look to third-party apps to fill the gap that Instagram had left wide open. On top of the headache of finding the right third-party to choose, Instagram had previously limited third-party systems’ capabilities within the platform.
However, those struggles are now gone. The scheduling option allows you to clearly see what your post will look like once it is posted, allowing creators a sense of security in their scheduling. Instagram has been rolling out the new feature to certain populations this past month, but it appears to be becoming available to wider audiences beginning this week. So if you have an Instagram Business Account linked to your Creator Studio–keep an eye out for this feature soon (if you don’t have it already!).
Once in Creator Studio, you can add emojis, locations, tags, and best of all–multiple photos–to your scheduled post. Adding multiple photos was a feature third-parties were not able to do on the platform, so that option is a big breakthrough for content creators.
This new feature is certainly something to toggle with and test in your feed for the future. While you can’t schedule Instagram Stories yet, IGTV and feed posts are compatible. What are you planning to schedule using the new tool? Let us know in the comments!
